The research centre sees itself as an internationally aligned think tank that commits itself to the cause through scientific measures. This international orientation and interdisciplinary status is designed to ensure that a reciprocally enriching exchange between research and praxis, i.e. between research and society, exists. The centre EC4SC works hereby in unison with "Leipziger Weg" (Way of Leipzig).
In order to ensure a meeting of researchers, experts, practitioners and students, the centre EC4SC will organise an international conference series. Thereby, it is possible to develop impulses as well as explicit ideas and concepts for collaborative research projects. In addition, the conference series will provide an overview of current challenges in research and praxis concerning the field of C4SC and international research perspectives in the field.
Digitalisation of the Bodies of Knowledge
The research centre EC4SC is working on a digital databank of studies and literature. The data sets will initially be entered, but can be used immediately by organisations for literature maintenance and inventory construction. In the long run, it is hoped that more institutions within the cooperation will participate in the expansion of the databank as e.g. the databank of the Catholic Media Council (CAMECO).
With the databank, students, journalists and actors from development politics and in the field of C4SC in Germany and other countries as well as other interested parties will be able to obtain a profound overview of the multifaceted spectrum of scientific papers in this field.
