Research project published in cooperation with DIRK, Aurubis, Lufthansa Group, Deutsche Post DHL and Zalando

With the study "Nachhaltigkeit in der Kapitalmarktkommunikation - Eine empirische Analyse der Nachhaltigkeitskommunikation deutscher börsennotierter Unternehmen an den Kapitalmarkt", the Center for Research in Financial Communication in cooperation with DIRK – Deutscher Investor Relations Verband publishes the results of a broad empirical study of listed companies in Germany.

The research project in cooperation with Aurubis, Lufthansa Group, Deutsche Post DHL and Zalando shows how - and also how differently - sustainability communication to the capital market takes shape.

Among other things, the challenges, responsibilities, processes, measures and instruments of capital market communication on the topic of sustainability were analysed. Furthermore, three degrees of professionalisation of sustainability communication to the capital market were derived and a state of the art investor relations programme for sustainability was described.

The project team under the academic direction of Prof. Dr. Christian Hoffmann and Sandra Binder-Tietz consisted of seven students from the Leipzig Master's programme Communication Management: Melanie Bauer, Lena Biberacher, Helene Lamprecht, Elisa Strey, Lea Thomas, Maximilian Van Poele and Lea Waskowiak.
