The 2024 Annual Conference of the International Network of Analytical Sociology will take place May 30–31 2024 in Leipzig, Germany. May 29 will be reserved for a networking event of women in INAS.
Call for Submissions
We are happy to announce the call for abstracts for the 16th INAS conference, to be held on May 30–31, 2024 in Leipzig.
Research in the analytical sociology tradition uses different modes of inquiry to identify the micro-level mechanisms that underlie macro-level phenomena. We welcome submissions using any method (e.g., quantitative, qualitative, experimental, simulation-based) that allows the study of social mechanisms and the social dynamics they give rise to. We especially encourage applications that examine, with new computational methods and digital data, how social phenomena emerge from large groups of interacting individuals.
Please submit an abstract (up to 500 words) as a PDF attachment to inas2024[at]uni-leipzig.de. The deadline for submission is February 16, 2024. The organizers will notify the authors of the decisions by mid-March.
We are delighted to announce that Laura Nelson (University of British Columbia) will be delivering the 2024 keynote address.
The organizers of the 16th INAS conference are Marc Keuschnigg and Heinz Leitgöb of Leipzig University. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us (send email).
The conference will feature a women’s event to establish a Women’s Forum for Analytical Sociology. The event will take place in the afternoon of May 29. More information will follow, but for questions you can get in touch with the organizers Amalia Alvarez Benjumea, Selcan Mutgan, and Eva Vriens at womensforum[at]analyticalsociology.com
