Every year, 30 students get the chance to complete the full-time programme in Leipzig without paying tuition fees. The Masterclass 2021 starts with an enhanced programme. There are English-language modules in every semester. The discipline's best-known researchers from all continents will be virtual guests in the "Leipzig Lectures". The previous excursions abroad will be replaced by short formats with flexible destinations and new Erasmus partnerships with English-language degree programmes in Strategic Communication in Prague and Milan, among others. In addition to corporate communication and management, financial communication and non-profit communication are now part of the compulsory programme for all students. Digital transformation, management tools for communication, branding and internal communication as well as public affairs are covered by separate seminars.

Applicants with a demonstrable interest in the professional field, as evidenced by initial relevant professional experience (internships, traineeships, etc.), and a solid basic academic education with a Bachelor's degree in communication studies are sought after. An interest in international research is also indispensable at the most research-intensive institute in the subject in Europe.

With four internationally recognised professorships and several honorary professorships, the Leipzig institute covers all facets of communication management from a single source. The close interlocking of theoretical foundations, globally oriented research and exciting practical projects with top addresses in the industry characterises the Leipzig profile. Graduates regularly receive awards for their theses or are given the opportunity to work on projects and publish. Anyone who is thinking of doing a doctorate later on will receive excellent training in Leipzig.

Applications for the Masterclass 2021, which will start in October this year, are open from 15 April 2021 for those with a foreign Bachelor's degree and from 3 May 2021 for those with a German BA degree. The selection interviews will take place in July 2021. Details can be found in the aforementioned documents.
