Abstract
Anila Alushi is a postdoc at the Institute of Communication and Media Studies at the University of Leipzig. Dealing with the question of transitions since the beginning of her research interest, her study aspires to analyse the city and the urban, the institutional change, the welfare and work transformation processes with particular attention to the local dimension and the multi-scalar nature of these changes. Her PhD dissertation in URBEUR-Uban Studies focuses on a comparative case study between the city of Vienna and Milan on youth transition policies, with an interscalar relationship approach analysing urban context, cities' institutional architecture and the multilevel governance dynamics of a variety of actors involved in designing and implementation of these policies at the city level. She is part of the working group "Welfare e Istituzioni" of the Institute for Advanced Study of Social Change, University of Milano-Bicocca.
