Leonie Steinbrinker is a Ph.D. student in Sociology at Leipzig University since March 2023. Her research interests revolve around the use of computer-based methods for analyzing social networks and digital behavioral data, particularly in the context of social media.

Seminar - Fundamentals of Sociology 2
The seminar aims to deepen the knowledge gained from the corresponding lecture. To achieve this, the various theoretical programs will be discussed in detail, analyzing their advantages and disadvantages, as well as their limitations and issues. In addition, connections and relationships between the different theoretical programs will be examined and discussed.

Lab - Theory construction and hypothesis derivation on selected micro- and macrosociological issues.
The aim of the course is to provide an in-depth introduction to selected general explanatory theories of sociology from which arguments for explaining social phenomena at the micro or macro level can be deduced. Specific problems are used to examine the explanatory power of the theories and which empirically testable hypotheses can be derived.
