The professorship teaches and researches in the philosophy of language, the philosophy of mind and action, aesthetics, German Idealism, and the history of philosophy. The classical and contemporary philosophers of most significance are Plato, Aristotle, Kant, Frege, Wittgenstein, Anscombe, Dummett, Davidson, and McDowell.
